Some people only seek help AFTER detonating islands... tsk, tsk.

So... AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or maybe, GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Stress makes us do things we regret. Like destroy Hong Kong. Oh and apparently rend people asunder in horrible scenes of vicious carnage.

Scream with me as we dissect a horrifyingly messy anime delight of mine, GenoCyber!

WARNING: NSFW! Horrifying scenes of violence follow, only click the jump if you're steeled for nightmarish visions of brutal violence and language.

Bubblegum Crash: Abandon all hope, your ship crashes here

I know I said I was taking a break from Bubblegum Crisis... I lied.

Apparently, I'm a liar.

Bubblegum Crisis has a finale of sorts that is received typically with booing and hissing,  when discussing the amazing OAV series of BGC it is important to give it some humility by noting the horror of it's unpleasant and barely canon-based conclusion. Naturally, I'm speaking of the infamous Bubblegum Crash!

AD Police, fighting crime in a really perverted future time

Robots and sex. Two great tastes that all of humanity can't wait to taste together. With the end of BGC, the iron was STILL hot so they struck using Leon as their front man in a Megatokyo sans Knight Sabers.

Take a bite of AD Police's shiny metal ass... Or not. I wouldn't. Ew.

Normally, I’m wacky for police dramas as they were a huge part of my evening viewing during my formative years and adding in robots gone awry normally makes everything better, but apparently that's not always the case.

I realize that I’ve been tossing up anime that I praise and since I touched on BGC I feel it’s only fair that I explore the dark side of enjoying that particular franchise and the consequences that such folly merits. Let's start with one of its more contemporary snafus...

So sample my venom as we discuss AD Police: To Serve and Protect, the TV Series

Bubblegum Crisis: Lady Mecha-Mercenaries show us how it's done!

Since I'm going through my list I would be shocked if I didn't mention this one sooner. My #3 frequently vied for my #1 spot, which it would frequently gain along with vast amounts of worship and obsession. SO much obsession that I went on to purchase production cels, multiple versions of the original OAV series, the TV series, the follow-up OAV series everyone else hates, the spin-off AD Police OAV and the manga it was based on, the god-awful AD Police TV series and the recent Parasite Dolls OAV  all based... somehow in the same collective Blade Runner/Streets of Fire style universe.

Let's burst into of Bubblegum Crisis...
